Lotus Elite Type 14

Restoration

November 2001

Original UK license plate and a clear view of the rear bumper (not quite bolted on to the starboard side).  Most modern vintage racecars run without the bumpers, presumably for aerodynamic advantage.  Some of the original Le Mans cars had them removed, some didn't.  Jim Clark drove with them on in '59 and seemed to go pretty good.  Also note the missing the filler cap (easy to find) and a brake lamp lens (not so easy to find).  But the trunk (boot) lid seems to fit nicely.
